The automatic door with Chick'A hatch is recommended for protecting your hens from predators (foxes, martens and other nuisances...). It can also be effective in preventing the rooster from crowing too early in the morning. It adapts to low roofs thanks to its practical horizontal opening.
Controlled by a programmable timer or a light sensor, this door, which is easy to install, will allow you to manage the opening or closing of the coop. You can use either the default mode, which detects ambient light using the light sensor, or opt for the programmable timer mode (12h or 24h). It is of course possible to open and close the door manually with the simple press of a button.
Additionally, it has an animal detection feature that allows it to detect the possible presence of hens when it closes slowly (this function does not activate when the door is closed manually). When the door is automatically closed and detects an obstacle, it automatically reopens, then closes again. This attempt is repeated up to three times.
Waterproof and very durable, the materials and components used are of very high quality. It operates in extreme weather conditions. The door also features a battery-saving mode, with the screen turning off after 120 seconds.
The door requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included) and has a built-in solar panel for autonomous and reliable use. The batteries must be used continuously even when the solar panel is taking over. The door is reversible and can thus be installed on the left or right.
