A stirrup strap is provided with each airbag. If you have several saddles, you can fit a stirrup strap to each of them for quick mounting with your airbag. To ensure reliable and fast inflation, you must use the stirrup strap. Do not attach your carabiner directly to the metal rings on your saddle. We do not know their strength and they could come loose during a fall. To learn how to install your stirrup strap, please refer to the "installation" tab below.

How to install your stirrup strap?

Remove the two stirrups from your saddle. Your stirrup strap is shaped like a Y. Attach the arms of the Y on each side of your saddle to the stirrup bars. You will likely need to loosen the strap to reach the stirrup bars. Put your stirrups back in place.

The rider is responsible for properly installing their stirrup strap on the saddle. Make sure to adjust your stirrup strap correctly:

• Not too long, as this could delay or prevent deployment, especially if you ride a small horse or a pony.
• Not too short, as this could hinder you during riding, for example during a jump.

TIP: Once the stirrup strap is installed, mount your horse with your airbag. Attach your carabiner to the metal loop of the stirrup strap and stand up in your stirrups. The elastic part of the attachment cord should be barely taut.
